Missouri Corrections Officers Association Endorses Dave Spence for Governor

September 17, 2012

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Today the Missouri Corrections Officers Association (MOCOA) announced that it had endorsed Dave Spence for governor. MOCOA represents approximately six thousand hard working corrections officers across the state of Missouri. MOCOA’s mission includes promoting the interests and welfare of all corrections officers in the state of Missouri.

“Missouri needs a governor who recognizes the value of state workers and appreciates the work that they do on behalf of all Missourians,” said Gary Gross, Executive Director of MOCOA. “Our organization believes that Dave Spence’s ethics, ideas and philosophy mirror our own and that’s why we are proud to endorse his campaign for governor.”

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Missouri Corrections Officers Association,” said Spence. “The groups that know Jay Nixon best are endorsing my candidacy for a reason. Jay Nixon has been a failed governor who only looks out for his campaign contributors. It’s time for a Missouri governor who respects state employees and leads by example charting a course to a more vibrant and prosperous Missouri for all our citizens.”

The MOCOA endorsement comes on the heels of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber PAC endorsement and the Missouri Farm Bureau’s Farm PAC endorsement of Dave Spence’s campaign for governor.
